Thank you for looking for Villa Sampaguita online.

After 18 wonderful years of operating our B&B and farm and 100’s of satisfied guests, Rina and Tim are downsizing. We have sold the property to an enthusiastic young family from Torino, who will be continuing the B&B under a new name and injecting new life into the farm.

We are moving to a smaller house in the charming village of San Pietro, located in the Roero hills, halfway between Asti and Alba and with panoramic views of the castle town of Govone, the Alps and the Tanaro river valley. Not to retire we must hasten to say, but to start a new chapter in our lives

Villetta Sampaguita.

Villetta Sampaguita will have two nicely appointed apartment suites, both self contained with kitchen and living room, available for short and long term rental. Of course guests can opt to have breakfast too. We will be open all year round with both heating and air-conditioning for guest comfort.

We are building Rina a custom kitchen and she will be conducting her cooking classes on a regular schedule for smaller groups of up to 6 people. Naturally we will continue to offer tours either self drive or with a driver; we have found many new exciting wineries and restaurants. There are two restaurants in our village and several others in the nearby towns of Govone and Priocca. The nearest weekly food markets are in Canale and San Damiano and of course, there are many truffle fairs in season. Govone Castle hosts several musical and art events each year and is known for its annual Christmas fair.

The Roero is one of central Piedmont’s main wine areas although not as well known as the Monferrato and Langhe visible across the valley, which means less tourists and better values. The area is also famous for peaches and honey. The gently rolling hills are ideal for hiking and biking and we will have e-bikes available for rent to those who need a little boost.

San Pietro is very easy to get to, either on the country roads between Asti and Alba, or by taking the Govone exit on the A33 autostrada. If you don’t want to drive; there is an hourly bus service between Asti and Alba, and we can arrange a pickup from Asti train station, or Milan and Turin airports.

Opening date will be September 1st, 2019. For information please email villetta.sampaguita@gmail.com We will have the new website up and running soon.

We look forward to many more years of being with our friends old and new and invite all of you to add Villetta Sampaguita to your Piedmont stop list.
